The 8th University Theater Festival kicked off on Sunday, April 19, amidst great enthusiasm from students, a wide student attendance from various university branches, and a notable participation from some Omani theater artists who added a professional and encouraging touch to the festival. The events continued until April 23, featuring student theatrical performances distributed across all university branches in a festive atmosphere full of creativity and renewal.

The competition was strong and exciting, as each branch presented a diverse play, each addressing a different topic with renewed passion and a distinct artistic vision. On the final day, the festival concluded with a joyous ceremony where winners were honored, and the university's Ibri branch won the award for the best integrated theatrical performance amidst warm applause from the audience.

For her part, student Asma Al-Balushi expressed her feelings toward the festival, saying: "We got used to the enthusiasm of the plays every day, and a renewed vision of our fellow students from different branches, and we will miss their presence among us. The festival was a precious opportunity to get to know these students, exchange experiences, and make unforgettable memories." She added: "We hope this experience will be repeated every year, because university theater is a real space for discovering and refining talents."
